Using music for many things!

Well, it's been a while and many changes have have happened. Adjusting to many new things implies adapting as fast as I can, but hell, sometimes you need a little break from all of it. In the meantime I'll have to confess that I'm a little scared of my new job in the Public School System of my hometown, because it's located in not a very good neighborhood and from what I've hear is difficult. But, after all, I have always been lucky to connect with my students without too much struggle, basically because I can identify with them when it comes to everyday life.

I think I never mentioned the fact that I attended a public school from middle to elementary school, so I know what it feels to be in such a rough environment, even though things were different then. I don't know if it's going to be difficult or not, it might be a walk in the park, it might be a living hell. The only thing I know for sure it's that this experience will bring me new opportunities to learn and to see life from a different perspective, even to become a better teacher.

So, whatever happens next I'll try to have no attachments and let everything flow freely. In the meantime I'll been thinking about how to approach my students to the subject in going to be teaching: Philosophy. So, I thought arts are a great way to enter their minds, so I'll start with music first, then literature and then even movies and TV. I have to take into account that many of this public schools don't have many resources, so I'll have to be very creative.

Either way, I'll be happy to be teaching!
